Did you try normal install?

Hi, just wondering if you can reinstall XP without using the Repair option and without formatting the entire hard drive.

Just select the normal install procedure as if you are loading for the first time.

When prompted select install from the current windows installation folder, this will overwrite only the required OS files and folders.
