After not using my computer for about 5min, my screen will turn black.

I then press my enter button and can hear the machine working but the screen still remains black. I then need to turn the machine off by holding the power switch in for about 10 sec.

This only started to happen last week when I lost usage of my mouse and display colors were wrong and the font size t large.

Hope someone can help Regards .... John

ControlPanel>Settings>PowerOptions set everything to Never If there is a Hibernate tab, go to it and disable hibernation Then go into ControlPanel>Settings>Display and turn off your screensaver altogether If your problem is solved, you can put the screensaver back on, altho I would choose a diff one that what you had first If the problem stays gone, you could go back to the orig screensaver and see if it is ok.

Go to Control Panel>Power Options and check that the monitor isn't set to power down to save energy after five minutes.
