Can a laptop be bought in te United States with Italian language screens/prompts/instructions, etc.
If not, do you know which companies sell computers in Italy? Or how I can find out?
My neighbors wife was very ill; daughter and granddaughter flew in; got here too late. The granddaughter, who also is ill and will die an early death, wants to buy a laptop here. But she doesn't speak/read/comprehend English. She also knows zip about computers. She just turned 25 and is hoping to learn, so she can get an office job in the town where she lives.
She's wheelchair bound, so sitting at a desk would be okay for her.
Her mother says the cost in Italy will be a lot more than here, so that's my goal! Can't a language chip be taken out and another one put in????
Thanks very much for any help you can offer.

MS Green,
YES, In this day and Age you can get a computer to do just about anything You can have the Laptop customized in Italian and probably shipped from her to Italy, just try contacting any one of these companies, make sure to compare your prices Dell, IBM or Apple, she can have her laptop custom made to suite her You can talk to a sales rep and they will build your PC or Laptop the way you want it.
