A student on my course at college has changed a password on a windows XP (He never pays attention cos he's on msn)
Does anyone know of any freeware tools that would break through it?
Thanks

A solution to this would be to remove the windows password file that is stored on the computer, this can be done by booting into safe mode (F8 at startup) The choose "run" from the start menu, and run the command control "userpasswords2" (without quotes) There should then be a list of users on that computer Highlight your username, and you should be able to click the "reset password" button at the bottom of this window Then you can type in a new password, and reboot.
Hope this helps.
