I need to upgrade my computer from win 98 to win XP. When i upgrade will all the things saved on the harddrive be saved? I won't lose anything will I? If so what do I need to do?

You will be much better off backing up your data to a CD or another hard drive Then format and install XP You can do a clean install with an XP upgrade CD as long as you have your 98 OS CD XP will ask for it during the install A clean install is best since upgrading over a 98 install usually brings along old problems (and magnifies them).
