Greetings

Please tell me what "backweb agent" is supposed to do, because it's always running on the background of my computer and I don't know if I need it.

Thanks in advance,

Joe Park

The BackWeb agent is the engine that controls the news and information updates for your subscribed channels (Active Desktop).

If you dont use it, or dont know how this program got onto your computer you can delete it as follows:

Go to the Start menu and select Settings -> Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs Select Backweb and click "Remove"

If backwebagent is not shown in the list of add/remove programs you can try this to prevent it from startup:

Go to Start --> Run --> type "msconfig" in the box"

Select the tab "Start-up" and uncheck the mark at the program Backweb.

Restart your computer.

Although the program is still on the computer when you do this, at least it doesnt start when you boot your pc
