My computer keeps overheating. i have done some research through this site and i think that my problem is that my cpu fan only runs at 2220 rpm max. how do you make it run faster?

my next problem is that i don't have a case fan. i just have an exaust fan. is there a certain type that i should get? thanks.

With that being said, if the CPU is getting hot, chances are other components are too I'd start with case cooling Remove the covers and run to see how high the CPU temperature gets If it helps in a significant manner, you need better case cooling If it doesn't make much difference, you should see if the HS is improperly clamped on Some motherboards don't properly attach the mounting base, and the HS doesn't properly seat on the processor when you clamp it down.
