I have a computer at home for my kids. My five year old said a screen came up and he hit a button and then it wouldn't work. I know not much to go on but he is only 5. He left the computer on and my wife tried to turn it off and it wouldn't turn off. She told me she was able to get it off by holding in the power button for an extended time. Now as I try to turn it on the screen starts blinking every 3 sec or so until it blinks several times and goes into sleep mode. Then it is locked and won't shut off again. (without holding the button in or unplugging). The computer is not hooked to the internet nor do I pass files with floppy etc. to it other than the games they play so I did't believe this would be a virus. I tried to boot up with my restore CD and when I do the restore it says it cannot find the files .sys .inf etc, etc, and goes through what seems to be thousands of files this way. I have the computor set up with me as administrater so I thought it was reasonable safe as far as him deleting or changing important files. HELP!
