How to change the region

I have a laptop that I purchased in the United States. I am over in the UK for a few years and have been watching DVD's on my PC for the past few months. Now when I go to watch it, I get that I must change my region. So I press to do that and I get a warning that states that I cannot undo this even if I reconfigure the operating system!

Does anyone know a way around this? Most of the DVD's that I will be watching will be from this region so I don't want to switch it around and not be able to switch it back!

You can change the region by rightclicking on the dvd drive icon and selecting Hardware--> Properties then go to DVD Regions tab and change the setting Use PowerDVD software to watch the video without flip-flopping.
