I purchased a 120 gb external hard drive and backed up all my files etc. thinking this would resolve the issue of continually being warned that my hard drive is dangerously low on space, but I still am getting these messages. Am I using this hardware properly? The "expert" at Best Buy told me it would be the answer to my dilemma short of buying a new computer which is not in my budget!!! Please help

Even though you've backup the data on the internal drive make sure that you have deleted the files View how much space you've allocated by going My Computer>Right click Properties

In addition to that you should:

1.Add more RAM to the computer.

2.Acquire more hard disk space (by using a disk compression utility)
