it seems to be in a sleep mode. compaq comes up on screen, and then states Operating system no found on any devices. Press spacebar to continue. Even the restore disk won't work off the cd rom. The emergency start up disk will allow it to start and go to C: . but it won't let me format, delete or nothing? it doesn't show to have a windows directory either? the sleep button on the keyboard is lite and won't respond .

Tip: If your computer gets no further than displaying the manufacturer logo, then it may be that your hard drive is damaged Try restarting a few times If it won't start, then you need to call tech support for your computer Other causes might be a problem with the processor and/or the system board If the hard drive is at fault, you will most likely lose all of your data.
