Whats wrong with your adaptec cd-rom burner

I have an adaptec cd-rom burner. I used ti be able to make perfect cd's, but, lately, I get some nasty noise when track 1 begins and a sharp click when the disc moves from one track to another. Any tips to eliminate these problems will be greatly appreciated.

Hello Mr O'Brien Let me first start off by saying that you can do two things Find out exactly what tasks were you doing when you created the CD There may have been an interference with the programs running The other thing you can do is reinstall the software for that burner Sometime the software gets corrupted by not shutting down property
