When I use Word 2000 or Works 2000 in word processing, I have a lot of trouble with the computer simply, and with no warning, shutting off (black screen) and rebooting. It is really annoying as I would literally have to back up my typing every minute to avoid this occurence. I don't have the problem with other programs - only my word processing functions. I use the Works spreadsheet often and over extended periods and have never had the computer shut down. What is happening and what can I do about it!!!

No doubt about it, you need to reinstall your Word 2000 and the Works 2000 back in your computer There's not another solution for this problem Just get the disks named Microsoft Windows 2000 Office, and in the choices when you get prompt choose "Reinstall", and then proceed with the reinstallation.
