installed Turbo tax, get error, F42e.exe, when trying to run. Turbo Tax support has seen this err with Windows XP, service pack 2. They don't have a fix.
They thought it was a virus.
I tried to install virus protection offered by my provider COX. The COX product is not compatible with McAfee,so I unistalled McAfee. I then tried to download anti virus only to get a message to uninstall McAfee. COX suggested it was in my registry. Any suggestions? Next step?
Thanks
Chuck

Go to www.microsoft.com/
When you in get the website go to Downloads, at the Research window write"Microsoft Windows malicious software removal" This will provide you a very good solution if you have any virus or malicious program running in your computer.
