How do I change my password?

How can I create a new password. I cannot remember my password and windows keeps logging off. please give me some ideas. thanks

I’m assuming you have windows XP home edition

Start your computer

Press f8 start in safe mode

Log in as administrator

Go to start/ control panel/ user accounts/

Find your account and double click on it

Select remove password, and again in the next screen.

Restart your computer and log in as your self there will be no password.

When your logged in you can hit ctrl Alt delete and select change password to apply a new password.
