What can cause an installation error

i hade iolo SystemMaachine V3.0 installed in my laptob, i got the newer version of this software SysMachinePro v5.0. so i uninstalled my old one and tried to install the newer version but had error messege says an i/o error occurred while instaling a file....

i dont know what is the problem , is it a software conflict or OS failur. and how to solve this problem.

i tried to install the software on my desktop but i got the same error.

This is normally caused by bad installation media or corrupt installation file Check your media and trying installing the program again But first ensure that the earlier version is completely deleted.
