My computer is constantly making a crunching sound and is very slow. Any ideas?

This could a be a sign that your hard drive is dying This is most commonly known as head crash where the hard drives read/write heads are actually touching the platters in your hard drive; you should back up your important data to either a removable storage device or to another hard drive before your information gets corrupted on your initial hard drive.
