I have Media Player Version 9 installed. A friend sent me some CD's with the setting SVCD. Is that for Windows XP? When I try to play it in my Media Player, it says "Class Not Registered". I cannot find the exact problem in the help from Microsoft. Thank you. Elinor

SVCD (Super Video CD) is a format that originated in the Far East It is not supported by Windows Media Player 9 but you can play CD's with this format on most newer computers with the proper decoding software A popular choice can be found at www.Nero.com.
