I don't know what happened but I can no longer bring up internet explorer from my desk top. I have a couple of icons for it but when ever I go on the net and click on them a page comes up but tell me that it cannot be shown. I tried to download Internet exolorer 6 but the same thing happens. I can get it only when I go on my Netscape and put it in the search engine but even then it is still on my Netscape browser. I hope you can tell me what to do to get it back I have tried everything I can think of and nothing works.

In Microsoft Internet Explorer, when you click to clear the Show Internet Explorer on the desktop check box (click Tools, click Internet Options, and then click the Advanced tab), and then log on to the computer as another user, the Internet Explorer icon does not appear on the desktop as expected You expect the removal of the Internet Explorer icon from the desktop to affect only the current user To work around this issue, click to select the Show Internet Explorer on the desktop check box on the Advanced tab of the Internet Options dialog box, and then click OK By doing so, you make the Internet Explorer icon available on the desktop for all users.
