Why does my mouse freezes?

This isn't a problem with your Hardrive.

It sounds like a Device Driver conflict, you need to click the "system" icon in Control Panel,then Device Manager

If you see any warning icons by Mouse,check to see what other device your mouse driver is conflicting with
