I installed too much memory on my Presario 4000 (512 thanks to Best Buy's Geek squad). I took it out the next day when my daughter told me it was too much. BUT the mouse freezes after is boots up and Windows XP opens. I can't navigate.

What terrible thing have I done and how can I fix it?

Thanks

Susie

First,

Be sure to check the connection between the mouse and your computer, it may be loose

If you have a wireless mouse, try replacing the current battery with a fresh one.

Second,

Try and close some programs that you do not need open at the moment Having too many programs open will use up a lot of your computer's memory, which will cause the system to become nonresponsive (frozen)

Hope this helps!
