My wife downloaded Microsoft AntiSpyware because she had it at work and it seemed to work so well. We already had Ad-Aware and Spybot Search & Destroy. We almost immediately started having connectivity problems to the internet by all users execept her. After several hours of frustration I did a system restore to the day before she installed the new software. Now everything works except our ability to connect to Symantec for updates. It says it is unable to connect and advises us to verify we can connect to the internet. I am unable to connect via liveupdaye or by trying to go directly to the website. I am able to ping liveupdate.symantec.com but unable to ping symantec.com. Again via my browser I cannot connect to either. Any suggestions??

Uninstalling and then reinstalling the symantec product may resolve this issue

To uninstall, click Start, point to Settings, then point to Control Panel Double click Add/Remove Programs, and select the Symantec product on the list and click Remove.

After uninstalling, insert the symantec cd or disk and install the software again
