Upon boot up I can access Cox cable with no problem. After some time off line, when I try to go back on line, I have to reboot in order to get back on the Internet.

Sometimes IP addresses can expire and need to be renewed

If you think you need to renew your IP address do this:

Start > Run

then key in:

cmd /k ipconfig

this opens a command window with the IP address information.

Then run these commands:

ipconfig/release

ipconfig/renew

Also, many internet connectivity issues can be solved by unplugging the modem's power...waiting 30 seconds-1 minute then plugging the modem back in This allows the modem to reset itself.
