How do I stop paint from starting automatically after booting?

When I start my computer and the desktop comes up, paint automatically opens. How do I stop that from happening?

This question was answered on April 30, 2005. Much of the information contained herein may have changed since posting.

You can open up your autoexec.bat file by clicking start>run then typing in:

Edit C:\autoexec.bat

Look to see if paint is listed in that file or see if it is listed in config.sys

Edit C:\config.sys

Once you find it, you can delete that entry from the list and you should have no problems.
