My cpu fan (i think its the cpu fan) lately comes on more and spins faster, especially when I am running a lot of programs or playing a video game. And then when i quit the programs or not run as many programs, the fan will quiet down to normal. I have a laptop. This problem has just started. My laptop is about a year old and it has never done this until recently. Thanks

Your computer is temperature controlled If the CPU starts processing alot more of data, heat becomes a factor Your fan that begins to work harder sounds like it's doing in order to do to keep the temperature from rising.
