Based on what I've heard from web bloggers, Cox High Speed Internet security software seems to be pretty decent Especially since it's free! However, I did find that Cox is now selling McAffee products to their customers The basic functions of the two softwares are the same, but the McAffee software offers some extras such as:
Virus Update checks every 4 hours
Automatic Virus Signature Updates
Scheduled System Scans
Automatic Software Updates
Real Time Alerts regarding Virus Threats
Scanning integrated in Windows Explorer (Right Click scanning)
World Virus Map tracking
AVERT Virus Reporting
Hacker "Tracing"
HackerWatch.org Incident Reporting
Color Coded Alerts
Automatic Software Updates
Traffic Monitor
Active Application Reporting
Protects personal information from being transmitted to the internet
Settings to require your approval every time personal information is transmitted
Hard Drive cleaning tool for sensitive files
If any of these seem useful to you, you may want to consider purchasing the software.
