Are there any memory limitations with Windows XP (like 98 not working properly with more than 512 mg of memory)? My system has 1gb of memory. Will it properlu utilize 2gb if I upgrade it?

Windows XP will let you expand your system memory to 2 GB

However, Microsoft has confirmed (specifically on XP and a few other versions of Windows) there is a known design limitation in Sound Recorder and not because of any problem with the underlying multimedia If you try to record a .wav file by using Sound Recorder on a computer that has more than 2 gigabytes (GB) of RAM, you receive the following error message:

Not enough memory available to complete this operation Quit one or more applications to increase available memory, and then try again.
