Make Clippy go away forever!

I'm sure he means well, but Clippy can be a little too informative for my liking In fact, I don't think he's ever been of any real use to me If you want to give Clippy his pink slip, try this:

1 If you're using Office 97, Clippy and friends are located in the \Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\Actors The quickest fix is to simply rename the Actors folder - to NoActors for example.

2 If you're using Office 2000, XP, or 2003, open the Control Panel (Start menu and click Control Panel) and double-click Add/Remove Programs.

3 In Windows XP, Me, or 2000, select either Microsoft Office or a specific Office program in the "Currently installed programs" list and click the Change button.

4 Click the Add or Remove button, expand the Office Tools item, select Office Assistant, and then Not Available Confirm your choices and exit.

Hope that helps Have fun and enjoy!
