How do I delete previously visited web sites from Internet history?

On AOL and Internet Explorer is there a way to delet all of the previous web sites that you have visited located in the drop down index. (where you type in a web site and then hit "go")

When you have your internet browser open you can go into the "Tools" menu and select "Internet Options" and on the "General" tab look down in the section marked "History" and click on the button "Clear History" You will then be asked a question "Are you sure you want to delete your history of visited Web Sites?" Click on the "Yes" button and this will delete the previously visited web sites that you have visited.
