A security flaw in Internet Explorer has left even fully patched and updated systems vulnerable to attack The security web site Secunia rates it as “extremely critical” and Microsoft has yet to develop a permanent fix What Microsoft has done is suggested a temporary workaround, in the form of altering your Internet security configuration But, how do you do that? Well, here it is:

1 Open Internet Explorer, go to Tools and click Internet Options.

2 Go to the Security tab and click the Custom Level… button.

3 Open the drop-down menu and click High and click OK.

That’s all folks You may notice additional security notices from Windows while you surf the Web; this is to be expected Consider it an unpleasant side-effect of a slightly more secure machine This should at least keep you out of harm’s way until Microsoft figures out a more permanent solution.
