I would like to run scan disk and have forgotten how to do it for Windows XP. I do not seem to be able to find how to do it on you web site.
Thank you!

On Windows XP right click on you Start button and go the the Local Disk (C:) and right click, go to Properties and it will bring up the Properties box Go to the Tools Tab and you will want to look at the top section called Error-checking You will need to click on the Check Now button This bring up a new window for Check disk options, you will want to put a check in either:
Automatically fix file system error (this is like a quick scan disk and does require you to reboot your computer)
or
Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors (this is a full scan disk)
Which ever fits your needs the best then click the start button.
