Ok, today you’re going to learn how to disable the Desktop Cleanup Wizard in Windows XP I’m sure there are people who find great solace and contentment by using this feature; I – on the other hand – do not If you share my sentiments and want to silence this wicked wizardry once and for all, read on.

1 Right-click an empty area of the desktop and click Properties.

2 When the dialog box appears, click the Desktop tab.

3 Click the Customize Desktop button.

4 Another dialog box should appear Select the General tab.

5 Uncheck the Run Desktop Cleanup Wizard box.

6 Click OK on the dialog boxes to close.
