What can I do if my BOOT.INI is invalid?

i recieved this error message after startup:

INVALID BOOT.INI FILE

BOOTING FROM c:\windowsNTDETECT FAILED

can anyone help?

This question was answered on October 28, 2005. Much of the information contained herein may have changed since posting.


You need to go to the c:\windows prompt and rename the file This can be done in the System INI which goes back to older windows 3.x settings The example for renaming the INI File would be "REN _ _ _ _ _ INI System INI" This should correct your problem.
