Will uninstalling XP Pro ruin my computer

My computer came with Windows XP Home Edition. When I started school they sent me Windows XP Professional. I want to know if I uninstall Windows XP Professional will my system still work?

Did you get the Xp Pro upgrade or the actual XP Pro?

because you have Xp Home it is possible to get a boot disk that upgrades your Xp Home to Pro If that's the case then all you'll be doing is downgrading your system, which may affect you network security but nothing else.

if you have the full Xp Pro that is independant of your Home Ed then uninstalling your Pro shouldn't do anything as long as Xp Home is still installed if you uninstalled Xp Home then you'll need to reinstall it after uninstalling Pro.
