The best place to change your screen resolution from is to go to the lower left hand corner and click on:
start-->settings-->control panel-->display This will bring up a pop up window that is the "Display Properties" You will want to click on the tab labeled "Setting" and down in the lower half of the screen on the left hand side you will see “Screen Resolution” You can move the scroll bar to the desired resolution Once you have selected your setting click on OK.
