WITH THE INTERNET RUNNING IN BACKGROUND, CAN I DISABLE MY ANTI-VIRUS, FIREWALL AND SPYWARE AND BE ABLE TO USE THE REAL TIME WEATHER FEATURE OF "FLIGHT SIMULATOR 2004 SAFELY? DISABELING THESE FEATURES ALLOWS FLIGHT SIMULATOR TO RUN MUCH MORE SMOOTHLY BUT, I AM CONCERNED ABOUT INFECTION IN ORDER TO USE THE REAL TIME FEATURE OF THE SIMULATOR.

Yes, you can disable those programs but it is highly recommended that you don't unless you are not on the internet It is true each of these programs do slow things down but because they are constantly ensure safe connections, that's a reduction in speed that's worth the minor inconvenience If you do elect to disable those features temporarily in favor of better performance for your flight simulator, make sure you turn them back on immediately after you're done
