Can you provide a driver for an audio card in an HP Pavilion 751N desktop. I recently had to replace the hard driver and have been unable to download a compatiable driver from HP.com. According to Belarc the audio card is a C-Media AC97 Audio Device. HP has refered me to two drivers and both will not load without an error message that the installation is being suspended to prevent damage. These drivers are SP31460 and VDM_A384.

One of the simplest things to do when you can not find a driver is to hit up google and give it the information you know Which in this case is "C-Media AC97."

this link might work for you, but only if your chipset is one of the ones listed.

The other thing that you might need to do is go into device manager and delete all drivers that are currently installed for your sound card first If Windows is assigning any default drivers to the sound card this could be an issue.
