What is the best type of battery to get to replace in my notebook. Lithium Ion or NiMH? Why?

Thanks

Lithium Ion batteries are the better choice if weight is an issue Many laptop makers are going to the Lithium Ion batteries because they can help reduce the overall weight of a laptop and as a laptop user yourself, you know that's an important issue Both offer tremendous advantages over the old Ni-Cad batteries but if cost is an issue, NiMH might be a little bit cheaper Another issue to consider if the "memory effect" This is when a battery is charged over and over, it begins to start gaining a memory and no matter how much you charge it, it's still not going to get a full charge NiMH is resistant to this problem but it still has minor issues with it Lithium Ion batteries on the other hand have no memory effect issues So you'll get the same charge everytime until the battery is no longer working.
