my monitor seems to be making a very high pitch noise when i leave it on for no more than about ten minuets. I am not sure what it is or how to correct it, any advice would be helpful.

Thank you,

Ron.

This could be caused by more then one reason but generally its a problem that tends to pop up as a monitor ages The cheaper the monitor and the older it is the more likely it is you will run into this To try and fix this

A Couple things to try are as follows:

Check the signal connection from the PC to the monitor and make sure that there is a working picture.

Try adjusting the controls for the monitor, particularly turning down the brightness somewhat, as this may make some difference.

If it is driving you crazy you might even consider taking it to be repaired, or buying a new monitor, as if the above steps dont fix it, letting it sit generally wont make it any better.
