Why doesnt my cdrom load?

First check to see if the CD-ROM drivers are loaded in Device Manager, check to see if another device is using the same port settings or IRQ number Check your cconnections make sure the power cable is attached to the CD-ROM, and check pin 1 settings on your IDE cable.
