When I am on the internet and the phone rings the system freezes and I have to power down by shutting the computer off at the main switch. The computer is not set up with a separate phone line. I also have freeze-up probelms when I am in other programs. I ran the suggested solution mentioned in your column 6/14/99. Any help would be appreciated

From your email address we are assuming you are using AOL as your internet provider We are also making the assumption that you have call waiting on your phone as that is usually the reason for this type of problem

Call waiting needs to be setup as disabled Click on setup on your AOL sign-on screen Follow it to the access setup screen and select the *70 to disable call waiting This should help, please email us back if it you need further assistance.
