My husband's laptop is now infected with "dr antispy" a clone rogue adware program because he let his anti virus expire for 1 day, a definite NO-NO! I have scanned with Spy Sweeper and Trend Micro PC-cillan several times each, ms malicious software tool remover and defender......all show up clean...but taskbar still has icon for "dr antispy" that keeps popping up with false balloon message and to click for removing adware. I turn off the icon in the taskbar but of course it comes back when ever I reboot but it's a temporary fix for now. Is the laptop still at risk? PLEASE, I would appreciate any advice on a procedure or product to get rid of this icon!

Thanks,

Vicki Richards

Dr Antispy is another false antispyware programs that may launch fake security warnings to scare you into purchasing their software One of the ways I have elimentaed this problem is by using the full-version of SpyHunter You can get the trial version, and it will detect Dr AntiSpy, but not remove it Get the full-version.
