Why can't Windows Media Player play my DVD movies?

unable to view videos,WMP only shows blank screen,

while playing audio.

Windows Media Player (WMP) needs a codec to play videos Meaning unless you buy a program like Intervideo, you won't be able to play DVDs.

Easiest fix is to download VLC It plays nearly every video file that you can imagine.
