Why is my computer lacking sound?

Recently I defragged my computer and afterward my computer doesn't have any sound and says there isn't a sound card. Never had a problem with sound until now what could have happened? but more importantly how do I fix it?

This is an easy problem to fix, all you need to do is reinstall your drivers for your sound card either off your driver disk that came with your sound card, or off their website Either way this should easily fix your sound issue Good Luck!!
