when i open Firefox it tries to find mx.my.msn.com. My home page is my.msn.;com. In tools-options it says my.msn.com NOT mx.my.msn.com. I can clean it up for a moment by resigning in to my.msn. I also have to resign in to other sites that I should be automatically be signed into.l

It happens while in Firefox safe mode too.

I have no problems when using IE, only Firefox.

I have looked at http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php and have tried all that they have said with no resolution.

Why is Firefox redirected to mx.my.msn.com? Where does the prefix mx come from and why?

It is possible that spyware is the cause of the redirection.

Try cleaning out problems that anti-virus, spyware, and adaware find this could be the problem Also clean out any internet cache and cookies by going to tools>clear private data within Firefox

if the problem persists change your homepage to another web site or set it as msn.com.
