I have a plug and play printer. The installation software keeps asking me to plug into a USB port, which I have done.

Searching the help menus on my computer I found out I do not have USB port controller in my device manager.

How do I install them? I followed the instuctions to get to BIOS to check them, but I could not get into BIOS.

Maybe thats a good thing with my limited knowledge.

Thank you very much.

Mike

Hello Mike,

Most of the time to get into BIOS you need to hit a key such as delete when you BIOS splash screen comes on when you first boot up However for you USB fix I would recommend going to your motherboard manufacter website and download the latest drivers However first just try putting the printer into a different USB port it could a dead port Hope this helps.
