Adobe freezing up?

When I open PDF files, the info that comes up on the screen is about 3 times the size of my 17 inch monitor. While loading, my system seems to freeze but if I go to task manager, it says the connection is running. I have to stop the program (via task mgr) and then restart the machine to get back to my "normal" view

My suggestion if you have not already done it is to update adobe reader to the latest version Also I would open up the program itself (just the program not actually a .pdf) and check all the settings so they match correctly for your computer.
