Every time i try (for the past 2 months) to install any software onto my system, before it will complete the install, I get an error message reading "-WINDOWS-

A fatal exception 0E has occured at 0028:C0270950 in VXD VMM(06)+00002950. The current application will be terminated.

* Press any key to terminate the current application

* Press Cntrl+Alt+Del again to restart your computer. You will lose any unsaved information in all applications.

Press any key

This happens immediately after it says the files are 100% copied and then "Updating" The screen just clicks off to black, and then to a blue background screen with this error message. It will also do this while I try to start the AOL online games. It also does this when i try to delete information from my personal filing cabinet. I paid 25 bucks for Hewlett Pack. to tell me they couldn't figure it out and suggested that I format my hard drive and install the recovery disk. I dont want to do this if I don't have to. Please help me

I am surprised that Hewlett-Packard would tell to reformat your hard drive before asking you to check your resources, it sounds as though you're low on memory and hard drive space Click start > control panel > system and go to performance and check your system resources, if it's low you are gonna have to delete some files and do a disk ceanup and defrag to create space Add more memory.
