When I click off line, in a few moments my computer will go on line automatically--and if I'm not around it'll be on line unknown to me for hours!! It does this almost 100% of the time.

Thank youk

Here is a way to start searching for the solution, and I hope this should be able to solve your problem.

If you go to Internet Explorer icon on the desktop, and right click you should get a short cut menu, go to properties, click on it and you should get a properties dialog box Click on connections tab and you should see an option which says that "dial whenever a network connection is not present" that should not be selected This option sets your browser to connect automatically Similarly if you are using a web browser other than the internet explorer make sure that it is not configured to dial up automatically.
