What you are referring to is the minimum requirements for your computer in order to install Internet Explorer 5 256 colors refers to the capability of the monitor to display 256 colors at various resolution, this differentiates it from older monitors that used a different form of signalling to the computer Go to Settings/Control Panel/Display/Settings and take a look at the color palette there should be a listing for 256 color(if there is you are fine), don't change the setting 14.4Kilobits per second or kbps is the speed of the modem Your profile lists a 56k modem you should be fine We are not sure what properties you are referring to, but There are very detailed instructions on the Internet Explorer 5 download site and we know many people that have successfully downloaded IE5 When you go to the download page for IE5 there is a listing for detailed instructions, print these, then as you go through the download you will be prepared Also remember that it takes awhile to download IE5.
